Completed 17 of 25 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns. Also rushed 7 times for 42 yards and a TD in just over three quarters of play in win over Clark Atlanta.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jeffrey Cargile - Morehouse (Jr, LB, 5-9, 190, Cincinnati, OH)
Recorded 13 tackles (11 solo) including 6 tackles for loss and a sack. Also intercepted a pass in win over Miles.
Newcomer of the Week
Lironnie Davis - Albany State (Jr, RB, 6-2, 250, Macon, GA)
Rushed 7 times for 75 yards and two TDs in Fountain City Classic win over Fort Valley State
Co-Special Teams Players of the Week
Demetrice Johnson - Albany State (Jr, KR, 5-9, 190, Atlanta, GA)
Returned six kickoffs for 153 yards including 81-yd rtn which set up a score.
Micahah Streiff - Morehouse (Jr, K, 5-11, 175, Decatur, GA)
Punted 7 times for 39.9 average. Kicked a 42-yd field goal and was three for three on PATs
Offensive Lineman of the Week
Anthony Driver - Tuskegee (Sr, OG, 6-2, 330, Midland, GA)
Graded out at 96% for offensive effort that totaled 695 yards (284 rush, 411 pass) setting new school single-game record.
