[Columbia, SC]   On Thursday March 20, 2008 at 12:15 p.m.., the athletic department of Benedict College will hold press conference to announce the success of the 2007-2008 Men’s Basketball team. The Press Conference will be held in the Benjamin E. Mays Human Resource Center Arena (BC GYM). Light refreshments will be served.

Head Coach Fred Watson has led his team to capture the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season Championship and the Conference Tournament Championship. Thus far, the Tigers have posted a 28-4 season record which includes all SIAC Tournament games and NCAA South Regional contests. The Tigers will play for the NCAA South Regional Championships tonight in Lakeland, Florida against the University of North Alabama Lions. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
