Garrion Martin and Rodney Coley from Albany State University, fresh off of their performances at the NCAA Indoor National Championships were named the SIAC Co-Male Runners of the Week. Tamika Kinchen from Albany State was named from the Women’s side.

SIAC schools including Albany State, Benedict, Clark Atlanta and Paine competed at various events across the nation. Albany State competed at the FSU Snowbird Invitational. Benedict competed at the UNC-Charlotte 49ers Invitational, Clark Atlanta competed at the Clemson Relays and Paine competed at the Emory Relays in Atlanta, GA.

Co-Male Runners of the Week
Garrion Martin (Albany State)-FSU Snowbird Invitational
Martin ran the 100 meter dash in 10.50 to finish in 1st place, ran the 200 meter dash in 21.38 to finish in 1st place and was a member of 4×100 meter relay team that finished in 1st place with a time of 40.78.

Rodney Coley (Albany State)-FSU Snowbird Invitational
Coley also competed in the 100 and the 200 meter dash where he finished 2nd place in both with a time of 10.56 and 21.46 respectively. He was also a member of the 1st place 4×100 team that finished with a time of 40.78.

Both Coley and Martin ran NCAA Championship provisional times in all of their events.

Women Runners of the Week:

Tamika Kinchen (Albany State)-FSU Snowbird Invitational
Tamika rant the 1500 meters in a time of 4:41.88 a NCAA Championship provisional time. She also competed in the 800 m and finished with a time of 2:15.53, just .53 off a provisional time. Kinchen also ran the first leg on the sprint medley relay that finished in 4th place with a time of 4:07.33, the 3rd leg on the distance medley relay that finished in 5th place with a time of 13:06.81, and the 3rd leg on the 4×400 meter relay teams that finished in 6th place with a time of 3:56.12.
