Claflin University Women had a dominant season with a record of 20-6 whipping all comers including the SIAC champs Tuskegee, kentucky State and more!!! There entry into the SIAC Conference should be a win win for everyone seeing that they play exciting basketball and lead the conference in attendance at home and on the road! They not only sold tickets but had several players checkering the season ending conference game performance statistics. My daughter Ashley Sorrell-Gibson and starting guard for her past two freshman and soph season's was in the top percentile of 5 different categories this past season. The men were equally successful and I believe the SIAC would be better served with these two programs on board. They will bring more of a winning and competitive spirit to the storied conference. They certainly deserve it as the record clearly shows!!! They definetely represent the college that CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can Claflin's men be recognized and not the women? Their women beat both SIAC teams listed and one CIAA of the teams at home. I believe they had a 20-6 season.
