AUC Invitational Recap

Schools from around the SIAC met in Atlanta, GA for the annual AUC Invitational on Wednesday evening. Athletes from Clark Atlanta, Fort Valley State, Miles, Morehouse, Paine and Stillman competed gaging each other in preparation of the SIAC Championships in Tuscaloosa next week.
Highlighting the days action was Brian Witherspoon of Stillman, automatically qualifying for nationals with a 10.45 in the 100m. Damian Price ran his fastest time of the year in the 400m running a time of 47.26 which also puts him in 1st place in the conference. Jeffrey Mosley and Keon Montgomery (Fort Valley State) both automatically qualified for nationals in the 200m, and ran the fastest times in the SIAC so far running a 21.26 and 21.29 respectively.
On the women’s side Shantrell Moss of Clark Atlanta, took home a victory in the 100m, 200m and 400m. In the 200m Moss ran the fastest time of the season in the SIAC (24.43) and provisionally qualified for nationals. Nicole Mobley of Fort Valley State provisionally qualified in the 200m finishing in 2nd with a time of 25.03. Antionette Oglesby of Fort Valley State jumped 19.-09.00 and finished in first place in the long jump to continue here undefeated streak against SIAC opponents.
