First let me ask…”Why did is SIAC schedule the Banquet during tournament play?” Couldn’t it have been scheduled after the tournament?
It’s a shame that Miles College didn’t have one player to be selected to the All Conference Team, after finishing first in the West Division. Miles College had two players that had statistics to support being All-Conference so I’m confused how the SIAC missed them.

It may just be me but whoever chose the All Conference Baseball Team 2008 evidently was not looking at the season stats. My son plays at Miles College we last year had the Player of the Year on our team his name Brandon Herd (with stats this year better than last year). He is not even mentioned on either team. We also had a Freshman Michael Green who had far better stats in my opinion than the player chosen as Freshman of the Year. Designated Hitter Patrick Melvin had far better stats than 2nd team choice (Alex Harvey).
Now my son is telling me we as a team may not have gotten our stats in on time. If that be the case please forgive me. (Shame on us).

It is a shame that not one Miles player is listed on either of these teams. This is why Miles should find another conference among other reasons.
