In a rematch of last year’s Softball Championship game, Albany State University took care of business and brought home yet another SIAC Softball Title defeating the Golden Bears of Miles College 4-1. Head Coach Robert Skinner (Albany State) has led his Lady Rams to a second consecutive title and third in the last three years.

At the conclusion of today's track & field action the race is very tight at the top for the women and Morehouse men are running ahead of the pack. Eight events have been scored and for the women Albany State, and Clark Atlanta are separated by just 13.5 points. Morehouse leads the pack with 110 points and Benedict has 81. Nine events are still left to score and the race is still close.

Albany State has advanced to the SIAC Spring Sports Championship game and will await the winner of the Miles vs. Clark Atlanta game. Albany State defeated Clark Atlanta yesterday to advance to the finals. Miles College has advanced to the loser's bracket championship game and will face Clark Atlanta at 10:00 am on Saturday.

Paine College defeats Stillman 8-3 to advance to the Finals. Stillman dropped to the losers bracket but will have a chance to advance to the finals if they can defeat the winner of the Albany State vs. Miles College game. ASU and MC will play at 10:00 am on Saturday and the winner will face Stillman at 1:00 pm at Stillman College.

Tuscaloosa, AL – Tuskegee University claims both of the SIAC Tennis Championships. Tuskegee’s men win their 29th SIAC title while the women have won their 11th. The men’s championship is their fourth in the last five years.
