Stan Conner Football Clinic for Ladies Set for July 19
Columbia, SC—June 26, 2008— If you’re a woman who is interested in learning about football or sharpening your skills about the game, it’s time to gear up for Stan Conner’s Annual Ladies Football 101 Clinic. The clinic will be held on Saturday, July 19th at the Charlie W. Johnson Stadium, located between Read Street and Two Notch Road in Columbia, South Carolina. The clinic will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m. Clinic registration fee is $15 per person, which includes aerobics, seminar, T-shirt and lunch. The clinic is sponsored by the Benedict College Tiger Booster Club/Central Midlands Chapter.
The one-day clinic is designed for women interested in learning more about the game of football. The clinic, tailored for women only, will provide hands-on learning exercises to help the novice, fans, or veterans to learn the dynamics of football from an insider perspective. The clinic will teach the fundamentals, such as offensive and defensive tactics, handling equipment, and learn how to position the body in some of the football stances that players use on the field. Benedict coaches and players will be available to help facilitate the clinic.
As an incentive for participating in the clinic, attendees are eligible for a drawing to win two tickets to watch the Benedict Tigers vs. Morehouse College Maroon Tigers compete in the Palmetto City Classic Game at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 30th at the Charlie W. Johnson Stadium.
