Emmanuel Kirwa, a freshman from Kapsabet, Kenya not only placed first in the NCAA Division II South Regional Championship, but also became the first runner in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic (SIAC) history to win the NCAA South Regional Championship.

Tucker, GA – Morehouse took home their 13th consecutive SIAC title and Albany State women’s team took home their 5th straight SIAC title at the 42nd Annual Men’s and 25th Annual Women’s SIAC Cross Country Championships during the October 19th Championships at Jim Miller Park in Marietta, GA. Benedict’s Emmanuel Kirwa took home the SIAC Most Valuable Runner award for his first place finish in the men’s division. For the second out of three years Llonisha Lee of Albany State was named the Women’s SIAC Most Valuable Runner.
