Stillman's Junior Galette to play in Texas Vs. The Nation All-Star Game

Tuscaloosa, AL- After posting an outstanding collegiate career, Stillman standout Junior Galette will compete in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Game in El Paso, Texas this Saturday at 2 p.m. (ET).

Galette will be part of the game's Texas roster. The contest will be televised live on CBS College Sports Television.

Honored by two organizations as an All-American this season, Galette established himself as one of the nation's top defensive players in 2009. A D2.com All-American, Gazette All-Super Region Two 1st team selection, and a first-team All-SIAC selection, the Haitian native ranked second in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with 9.5 sacks per game.

Galette ranked fourth nationally in sacks averaging 1.06 per contest and was ranked 5th nationally in tackles for loss with 21 tackles for 100 yards.

In addition to registering an outstanding senior season, Galette was a force to be reckoned with at Temple University before transferring to Stillman for his senior season.

"Junior was a heck of a football player this season. I'm glad he is getting these opportunities to let his light shine despite the dark times his homeland (Haiti) is going through right now. He is a great kid with a big heart, and no one is more deserving," Defensive Coordinator Willie Jones said.

Junior Galette looks to become the second Stillman player selected in the NFL Draft in as many years. The Detroit Lions took Sammie Hill in the fourth round last year.

"If given the chance at the next level, he will make the best of it and use it as a tool to give back to his beloved country, I'm sure of it."
