Tuskegee Nationally Ranked in Pre-season Football Polls

The 2010 Sporting News and Lindy’s Sports pre-season football polls were released and the Tuskegee Golden Tigers were ranked in both, coming in at 17th and 25th respectively. In 2009, Tuskegee won the SIAC conference title with a record of 10-2 (8-1 in SIAC) and finished ranked in every major Division II poll including 17th in the AFCA Coaches’ Poll and 21st in the D2football.com poll.

The Golden Tigers return a very talented team led by 2009 All-SIAC wide receiver Antoine Mitchell and defensive back Kenneth Baker, who led the team in interceptions with five.

The Golden Tigers will open the 2010 season at home against Benedict College on September 4th.
