Atlanta, GA—Benedict seniors Christopher Miller and Donald Williams have been named SIAC Baseball East Division Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week respectively. Stillman centerfielder Dion Bryant has been named SIAC Baseball West Division Player of the Week while Lane senior Travis Holloway has been named Pitcher of the Week for the West Division.
Miller, a native of Detroit, MI, was three for eight from the plate with a .375 batting average and a slugging percentage of .625. The 6-0 outfielder had an on-base percentage of .375, scored one run with one stolen base. Defensively, Miller was perfect in the field with a 1.000 fielding percentage.
Williams, a native of Carson, CA, pitched six innings against #1 ranked Georgia College & State and finished with seven strikeouts and just two walks. The 6-5 pitcher finished with an ERA of 4.50.
Bryant, a native of Blakney, GA, finished with five hits in three games with a .555 batting average, extending his current hit streak to 11 games. The 6-1 junior scored four runs and was walked twice. During his current 11-game hitting streak, Bryant is 21 for 39 with a .538 batting average and five RBIs with 10 runs scored.
Holloway, a native of Forrest City, AR, pitched 5.1 innings and threw five strikeouts against Union University, finishing with an ERA of 3.52.
