TUSKEGEE, AL – This afternoon, the Department of Athletics at Tuskegee University launched a brand new website that has fans of the Golden Tigers in mind.
GoldenTigerSports.com is a fully feature site that sets a lot of historical precedents at a school that is already rich in history. With the impending arrival of the upcoming football season, GoldenTigerSports.com will provide fans, media and university administrators with the following ways to keep tabs on their favorite athletic teams at Tuskegee Univerity:
As a charter member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in the SIAC’s Centennial Anniversary, Tuskegee University is proud to launch this website that allows our conference to have the first integrated collegiate web platform out of any collegiate conference in the country.
?GoldenTigerSports.com will allow Tuskegee University to better communicate with our member schools and the conference office in Atlanta, allowing for better access for fans around the country of the SIAC’s member schools. We believe that fans, media and alumni will get access to TU Athletics like never before, and that this launch will be a net positive for Tuskegee University Athletics.
· Social Networking – Athletics now has its’ first ever social networking pages in school history, with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Google+ all available in one convenient place in the upper right hand corner of the home page. It should be of note that the Google+ page is a first at Tuskegee University, and will be able to give fans more access than typical social networking pages, with live hangouts, photo galleries and more.
· Online Photo Galleries – The photos that were not used for a game story won’t be relegated to a deletion bin anymore. With the photo gallery feature, fans and followers of TU Athletics will be able to stay in the know, with action shots both on and off of the areas of play.
· RSS Reader Integration and Newsletter Subscription – The ability to read about TU Athletics is expanded with newsletters and RSS Reader integration. Now, no matter where you are, you will always be able to stay up to date with Tuskegee Athletics.
· SMS Phone Access – Get live game scores and stats sent straight to your phone! Perhaps the most exciting feature about GoldenTigerSports.com, our SMS alerts will be able to give quarterly updates, and even a particular stat line if a particular student athlete is dominating the game.
