ALBANY, Ga. (April 20, 2018) – Benedict’s men and Albany State’s women, sit atop their respective leaderboards at the end of the first day of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hugh Mills Stadium and Albany State University.
The Tigers (41 points) lead Albany State (33), Morehouse (24), and Central State (10) to make up the top-four. Kentucky State (5), Fort Valley State (3), and Tuskegee (1) rounded out the standings through the first day of competition.
On the women’s side, Albany State (30) lead the women’s rankings as Benedict (25) followed behind for a second place finish. Clark Atlanta (23), Miles (12), and Paine (10) secured the third, fourth, and fifth place as Claflin (7), Central State (2), and Kentucky State (1) rounded out the top finishers after the first day.
