Female Runner of the Week, while
Brian Kemei (Morehouse) earned
Male Runner of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
Female Runner of the Week – Kiya Pittmon, Albany State
ASU junior Kiya Pittmon finished Top 20 with a time of 20:53.9 in the 5,000-meter race at the University of North Georgia Invitational. She paced the ASU’s Women Cross Country team to a second-place finish with 104 points in a field of 11 teams.
Male Runner of the Week – Brian Kemei, Morehouse
Morehouse’s Kemei raced to first place out of all collegiate athletes with a time of 25:37.3 in the 8,000-meter course at the University of North Georgia Invitational last weekend. He led Morehouse to a third-place finish with 69 points in a field of seven teams.
