Female Runner of the Week, while
William Tate (Spring Hill) earned
Male Runner of the Week, released by the league office on Wednesday.
Female Runner of the Week – Kiya Pittmon, Albany State
ASU junior Kiya Pittmon finished Top 40 with a time of 21:56.0 in the 5,000-meter race at the Julius Johnson Invitational at Middle Georgia State University. She paced the ASU’s Women Cross Country team to a sixth-place finish with 143 points in a field of 11 teams.
Male Runner of the Week – William Tate, Spring Hill
Spring Hill’s Tate finished Top 40 out of all collegiate athletes and led the Badger men's team finishing with a time of 27:20.9 in his first 8,000-meter course race of the season at the Montevallo Falcon Classic last weekend. He led Spring Hill to an eighth-place finish with 225 points in a field of 13 teams.
