Female Runner of the Week, while
Donald Kibet (Benedict) earned
Male Runner of the Week, released by the league office on Friday.
Female Runner of the Week – Purity Kibet, Benedict
Freshman Purity Kibet was Benedict's top finisher, coming in 19th overall with a time of 20:59.97 in her collegiate debut in the women's 5K race at Springdale Race Course.
Male Runner of the Week – Donald Kibet, Benedict
Benedict College freshman Donald Kibet dominated the Carolina Challenge season-opening cross country meet, crossing the finish line in first by more than a minute with a time of 15:42.12 over the second-place finisher in his collegiate debut with the Tigers.
