ATLANTA, GA - In a momentous revelation for college football enthusiasts, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has unveiled its first official football rankings for Super Region 2, setting the stage for the exhilarating Division II playoffs! Topping the chart, the Benedict College Tigers have emerged as the number one team in the region, solidifying their reputation as formidable contenders in the sport.

Boasting an impeccable record, the Tigers have remained undefeated throughout the season, showcasing their dominance with a 9-0 standing against Division II adversaries and an equally impressive 9-0 score against in-region rivals.

In 2022, the Tigers etched their name in history, making their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II football playoffs and securing the No. 1 seed for Super Region 2. Their undefeated streak and exceptional performance have set a high standard for this season as they aim to surpass their previous achievements on the field.

The stakes are high as the top seven teams in the final region rankings will earn their spot in the highly-anticipated NCAA Division II playoffs, kicking off on Saturday, November 18. The Tigers will have a bye until the second round, slated for Saturday, November 25. With the first three rounds set to unfold in campus stadiums, the road to victory culminates in the national championship, scheduled for Saturday, December 16, in McKinney, Texas.
