Shekinah Rachel was named
Women's Basketball Player of the Week, and Spring Hill's
Marta Duda concluded the lineup, receiving the honor of

MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Walter Peggs Jr., Spring Hill College

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Shekinah Rachel, Fort Valley State University

Rachel, a senior from Miami, Florida, showcased a remarkable performance as a forward for the Fort Valley State Wildcats. In the narrow loss to Georgia College (55-52), Rachel brought in 19 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block, demonstrating her all-around skillset. In the SIAC opener against Tuskegee University, Rachel's outstanding play was crucial for the Wildcats' 60-55 victory, where she tallied 21 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, a block, and three steals. She produced a third of her output in the final five minutes, scoring seven points, grabbing five rebounds, and stealing two passes, including the final one on the last Tuskegee possession, taking the length of the court to seal the victory.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK - Marta Duda, Spring Hill College
