ATLANTA, Ga. (March 13, 2023)– The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Monday.
DeOnia Gibby (Miles) was named
Player of the Week, while
Abigail Boudreaux (Miles) earned
Pitcher of the Week honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – DeOnia Gibby, Miles
Catcher | Sophomore | Montgomery, AL
Gibby had a big week for the Lady Bears. The sophomore catcher slashed .625/.611/1.313 with 10 hits in 16 at-bats, five doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI while scoring eight times.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Abigail Boudreaux, Miles
Pitcher | R-Freshman | Madisonville, LA
Boudreaux made four appearances - two starts - and got three wins for the Lady Bears, including a complete game victory at the SIAC Crossover against Edward Waters. For the week, she pitched 13 1/3 innings and allowed 14 hits, seven earned runs with three walks and four strikeouts.
