Tigers Hold Off Fort Valley State To Remain Unblemished In SIAC

Jacksonville, Florida-Edward Waters had their hands full on Sunday afternoon in their SIAC men's volleyball matchup against a much improved Fort Valley State team at the Adams-Jenkins Complex. The Tigers however were up to the challenge as the were able to fend off the visitors in straight sets, winning 3-0 and remaining undefeated in SIAC action.

Edward Waters (10-3, 7-0 SIAC) leaned upon a robust hitting percentage with 38 kills and a .114 hitting percentage.  The dominant play of Kaelen Ingram led the efforts for the Tigers, as heled all players with 16 kills on the afternoon along with an ace and five digs. Evens Edouard had eight kills and two blocks, while Bryan Pepen finished with seven kills and two service aces. Jhoan Capellan totaled his first double-double effort with 30 assists an d 10 digs for the Tigers.

The Purple & Orange will step out of conference play in their next action on Wednesday, March 29th. as they head to Lake Wales, FL to battle Warner at 5:00pm.
