MOBILE, Ala. – Spring Hill College softball's Paityn Desormeaux, Hailey Schultz and Lindsey Mecom were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Softball Team, it was announced Tuesday.
The three student-athletes bring the total to 10 Badgers in program history that have been named to the all-district team. All three are making their debuts to the team this year.
Desormeaux was named SIAC Relief Pitcher of the Year and earned first-team all-conference honors for the second season in a row. Following the season she was named to the National Faspitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Team for the second-straight year. The Lafayette, La., native majors in health science while holding a 3.6 cumulative GPA.
Schultz made the all-district team while majoring in health science and maintaing a 3.5 cumulative GPA in the classroom. Mecom is a elementary education major with an outstanding 3.9 GPA that earned her a spot on the all-district team.
