ATLANTA, Ga. – The Atlanta Braves and the Homers for Hank initiative kicked off Hank Aaron Week by unveiling the new state-of-the-art batting cages for the CAU baseball and softball programs on Tuesday, July 25 at Lady Panther Field.
Truist Bank, the Atlanta Braves, and the Homers for Hank program are giving back to baseball programs throughout the metro Atlanta area during Hank Aaron Week. The Homers for Hank program aims to honor Mr. Aaron's commitment to education and supporting children in chasing their dreams. Donated funds will be used to build a program of impact—providing scholarships for students attending historically black colleges and universities, career development programs for HBCU students and alumni, and future support initiatives in honor of Hank Aaron's legacy.
"The Atlanta Braves have always been an emblem of excellence on and off the field. Their commitment to sportsmanship, dedication to community engagement, and their passion for the game have inspired millions around the world. Now, their support has touched us at Clark Atlanta University, and we are truly honored." said Director of Athletics, Dr. Jerel Drew.
