SIAC Cross Country Weekly Honors: Oct. 22

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Cross Country Runners of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 22, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances last week. Benedict’s Nelson Kipkemboi and Megan Thompson were recognized.

MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – NELSON KIPKEMBOI, BENEDICT COLLEGE
Senior | Kapsabet, Kenya
Kipkemboi was the top finisher in the Columbia Harden Street XC Challenge head-to-head matchup against Allen. He finished the 6K course in 22:45.3. Benedict took the top four spots in the meet to beat Allen 18-37.

WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – MEGAN THOMPSON, BENEDICT COLLEGE
Graduate | Trelawny, Jamaica
Thompson was the top finisher in the Columbia Harden Street XC Challege, crossing the 5K course with a time of 23:28.0. Benedict defeated Allen 22-33.
