ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 22, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SAVANNAH EVERETT, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Outside Hitter | Junior | Colorado Springs, Co.
Everett totaled 48 kills and averaged 16 kills per match as the Tigers went 3-0 in conference play last week.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KLOE LUDY, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Libero | Senior | LaFayette, Ga.
Ludy totaled 53 digs and averaged 17 digs per match as the Tigers went 3-0 last week.
SETTER OF THE WEEK – DAMIA ELLIS, EDWARD WATERS UNIVERSITY
Setter | Freshman | Columbia, S.C.
Ellis was a major bright spot for the Edward Waters Lady Tigers three games this last week. She collected 94 assists, 26 digs, five kills and four aces. The Columbia, S.C. native compiled double digit assists in every match including 27 assists against Savannah State, 37 assists against Allen and 38 assists in Edward Waters’ match against Benedict.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – CAMILLE MCDERMOTT, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Setter | Freshman | Yankton, S.D.
McDermott helped lead the Badgers to a pair of 3-0 victories against Mississippi College and Tuskegee. Through two matches she totaled 67 assists, averaging 11.17 a set. She led the match in both wins, first with 33 assists in the win over the Choctaws and then 34 in the road win at Tuskegee. The versatile South Dakota native also tallied a career-high 14 digs against Mississippi College. She currently leads the conference with 370 assists on the year.
