MACON, Ga. —
Morehouse completes the three-peat, defending its men’s title at the 2024 Cricket SIAC Cross Country Championship. The Maroon Tigers had four runners finish in the top 10.
Central State finished the meet as runners-up, with two student-athletes finishing in the top 10.
Morehouse’s
Brian Kemei took home SIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year honors for the second consecutive year. He finished first overall at 24:14.94, a season-best in the 8K.
Kelvin Kiprop of Benedict and
Ronny Kiprono of Morehouse rounded out the top three finishers in the men’s race.
Phoenix Satterfield of Morehouse received the SIAC Men’s Cross Country Elite 16 award for his championship performance, coupled with a 3.86 GPA. The Elite 16 award, the SIAC’s highest academic achievement honor, is awarded to student-athletes who display exemplary performances in athletics and the classroom.

Willie Hill received the SIAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year award for a third consecutive season after leading his team to another conference title.
The men’s cross country championship race was held in Macon at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course. In total, 88 student-athletes from 14 teams competed.
