SIAC Women’s Volleyball Weekly Honors: Nov. 12

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 12, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week. Jarianis Perez (Albany State), Honesty Campbell (LeMoyne-Owen), Natalie Onozie (Albany State) and Dakotah Holmes (Fort Valley State) were recognized.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JARIANIS PEREZ, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Outside Hitter | Sophomore | Jacksonville, Fla.
Perez continues to be a driving force for the Lady Golden Rams offense. Her drive and determination on the court led Albany State to clean sweep in conference action defeating Allen and Benedict this past weekend.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – HONESTY CAMPBELL, LEMOYNE-OWEN COLLEGE
Defensive Specialist/Libero | Senior | Fort Worth, Texas
Campbell tallied a total of 49 digs in two matches this week, taking her over 1,000 career kills. She also led the Lady Magicians in digs the last two seasons.

SETTER OF THE WEEK – NATALIE ONOZIE, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Setter | Junior | Houston, Texas

Onozie delivered two outstanding performance this past weekend recorded over 30 plus assists against each opponent.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – DAKOTAH HOLMES, FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY
Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist | Freshman | Hampton, Ga.

Holmes helped Fort Valley State split two games, standing out in each with a .444 hitting percentage, 21 kills, one error in 45 total attempts, two assists, 10 digs, and a block assist against Benedict.
