SIAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Nov. 26

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 26, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Chase Ballard (Miles) and Josiah Lawson (Morehouse) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CHASE BALLARD, MILES COLLEGE
Guard | Senior | Stone Mountain, Ga.
Ballard had two big games coming off the bench to lead Miles to wins over Rust and Albany State last week. He averaged 16 points, 4 assists, and 2.5 rebounds, shooting 67 percent (12-of-18) from the field, 80 percent (4-of-5) on 3-pointers and making all four of his free throw attempts in 28 minutes per game.
 
Against Rust, he shot 7-of-9 from the field and scored a season-high 18 points while adding six assists and three rebounds. In the victory over Albany State, he was 5-of-9 from the floor, finishing with 14 points, two rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot.

Guard/Forward | Freshman | Stone Mountain, Ga.

Lawson averaged 11 points and 2.5 rebounds for the Maroon Tigers in two games last week.
