ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 26, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week.
Brittney Bolin (

Mia Morel (
Edward Waters) were recognized.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BRITTNEY BOLIN, TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY

Bolin’s exceptional all-around performances in two games played last week were instrumental in Tuskegee’s success. In the Golden Tigers’ 71-66 victory over No. 23 Columbus State, she led the charge with 15 points, contributing to a strong offensive outing. Bolin shot 8-of-9 from the free-throw line and added six rebounds and three steals. Her scoring and leadership on the court helped keep Tuskegee competitive against a well-established team.
In the previous game against West Florida, Bolin contributed 23 points, leading her team despite the tough loss. She shot 9-of-17 from the field, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, and also made an impact defensively with several key steals and assists. Bolin’s consistency in both games showcased her value to the team and her ability to perform under pressure.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – MIA MOREL, EDWARD WATERS UNIVERSITY

Morel continued to fuel the Lady Tigers attack last week as she extended her streak to three consecutive games in double figures. Morel led Edward Waters with 18 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3 steals per game while shooting 52.1 percent (12-23) from the field and 42.8 percent (6-14) from beyond the arc as they went 1-1 on the week.
In a loss to Johnson C. Smith, Morel scored 22 points with 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. She followed the performance with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists in a win over USC Beaufort. Morel also went 6-7 from the foul line across both games.
