SIAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Dec. 10

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Men’s Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Dec. 10, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Aziel Blackwell (Kentucky State) and Richard Lowe (LeMoyne-Owen) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – AZIEL BLACKWELL, KENTUCKY STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Junior | Newark, N.J.

Blackwell had a season high of 33 points and shot a perfect 14-of-14 at the free-throw line against Edward Waters (12/2). Against Tuskegee (12/4) he scored 20 points while shooting 73% at the free-throw line (11-of-15).

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – RICHARD LOWE, LEMOYNE-OWEN COLLEGE
Forward/Center | Senior | Nassau, Bahamas

Richard averaged 19 points and nine rebounds across two games last week.
