SIAC announces men’s volleyball weekly honors 03.13

ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for men's volleyball Wednesday, March 13. Edward Waters' Tavion Ford was named Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week, while Central State's Alain Tamo-Noche was named Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. Edward Waters' Kenyon Haynes brought home additional honors for the Tigers as Setter of the Week.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Tavion Ford, Edward Waters University
#4 | Outside Hitter | Junior | Belize City, Belize
Ford led Edward Waters to a successful week with standout performances in three matches. He tallied 11 kills against St. Francis (PA), 15 kills and 3 aces in a road win at Kentucky State, and 14 kills, 3 aces and 8 digs in another road victory at Central State, underlining his vital role in the team's offense.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Alain Tamo-Noche, Central State University
#23 | Middle Blocker | Junior | Pittsburgh, Pa.
Tamo-Noche was a defensive powerhouse in last weekend's matches, amassing a total of 16 blocks. The junior middle blocker leads both his team and the SIAC in total blocks for the season, demonstrating his exceptional skills on the court.

MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK - Kenyon Haynes, Edward Waters University
#11 | Setter | Junior | Chicago, Ill.
Haynes was instrumental in Edward Waters' success, distributing the ball effectively across three matches. He recorded 21 assists against St. Francis (PA), 37 in a road win at Kentucky State and 25 in another road victory at Central State, facilitating the team's dynamic offense.
