ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for softball Wednesday, March 13. Spring Hill’s Macy Holt was named Softball Player of the Week, and Edward Waters' Jodasea Peterson was named Softball Pitcher of the Week.
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Macy Holt, Spring Hill College

Holt led the Badgers to a sweep of the Tuskegee Golden Tigers in her first full series this season. In game one, she went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. In game two, she went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored and in game three tallied four RBI, two runs and a hit (base hit double) in five at-bats. Holt stole at least one bag successfully in each game. The redshirt junior second baseman also held a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with five putouts and three assists.
SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Jodesa Peterson, Edward Waters University

Peterson had an impressive week with two wins, including a shutout and a near shutout. Over 14 innings, she allowed only 11 hits and one earned run, walked three, and struck out six. Her performance was crucial in victories over Barry and Albany State, showcasing her control and effectiveness on the mound.
