SIAC announces baseball weekly honors 03.20

ATLANTA  The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for baseball Wednesday, March 20. Albany State's Nathan Saavedra was named Baseball Player of the Week, and Lane's Austin Lee was named Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Nathan Saavedra, Albany State University
#27 | Utility | Junior |  South Lyon, MI
Saavedra greatly contributed to the Golden Rams' 5-0 sweep. The week saw the junior utility player with 10 hits in 18 at-bats with 14 RBIs, scoring four times and hitting two home runs against Spring Hill, Flagler and Kentucky State.

BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Austin Lee, Lane College
#18 | Pitcher | Sophomore |  Fort Worth, TX
In a win over Miles, Lee pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits and no walks while striking out eight batters.
