ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for baseball Tuesday, March 26. Spring Hill's Walter Guillot was named Baseball Player of the Week, and Savannah State's Jose Santiago was named Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Walter Guillot, Spring Hill College

Guillot had an outstanding debut weekend, leading the Badgers to a series sweep against Clark Atlanta. The freshman right fielder went 9-for-11 with three RBI, three doubles and five runs scored over the weekend. Two of his doubles came in his first-ever collegiate game on Saturday. His highlight came during game two of the series, when he went 4-for-5 with two RBI, a double and one run scored. He was also perfect on defense, going 4-for-4 on putouts. He held a .875 on-base percentage through the series.
