SIAC Announces Men's & Women's Tennis Weekly Honors 03.06

ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for men's and women's tennis on Wednesday, March 6. Spring Hill’s Hugo Blasco Granell and Brooke Powers were named Men's Tennis Player of the Week and Women's Tennis Player of the Week, respectively.
 
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Hugo Blasco Granell, Spring Hill College
Sophomore | Castellon, Spain
Blasco Granell remains undefeated in singles play (6-0) after taking wins against Mobile (6-2, 6-4) and Bethel (Tenn.) (6-7, 7-5, 6-4) over the last week.

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Brooke Powers, Spring Hill College
Freshman | Mandeville, La.
Powers continued her breakout debut season on the tennis court with singles wins against Mobile (4-6, 6-2, 10-7) and Bethel (3-6, 6-2, 10-7) over the past week. The freshman holds a 10-1 solo record on the No. 3 court so far this season.
