ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for softball Tuesday, April 16. Lane’s Kaylee Stinnett was named Softball Player of the Week, and Jersey Cabana brought home an additional honor for the Dragons as Softball Pitcher of the Week.
SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Kaylee Stinnett, Lane College
#13 | Catcher | Junior | Las Vegas, NV
Stinnett led the Dragons to a 6-0 record for the week, batting .667 (12-for-18) with 15 RBI, five doubles, four runs scored and a home run. The Las Vegas native is batting .490 on the season with an on-base percentage of .507.
SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK - Jersey Cabana, Lane College
#56 | Pitcher | Sophomore | San Dimas, CA
Cabana went 3-0 on the week with three complete game shutouts. The sophomore pitched 17.0 innings and allowed no runs with 17 strikeouts and only one walk. For the year, she is carrying a 1.16 ERA in 120 innings pitched.
