ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for men's volleyball Tuesday, April 9. Edward Waters' Tavion Ford was named Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. Richard Hendricks brought home an additional honor for the Tigers as Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, and Central State's Ian Ford was named Men's Volleyball Setter of the Week.

Ford recorded a remarkable performance with 20 kills against Webber International and contributed significantly in the victory over Benedict, amassing 10 kills, three service aces and nine digs.
MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Richard Hendricks, Edward Waters University

Hendricks led defensively with a total of 17 digs in the match against Webber International, followed by a strong showing of eight digs in Edward Waters’ win over Benedict.
MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK - Ian Ford, Central State University

Ford led the team with a total of 99 assists, 16 digs and four blocks in three matches last week. The freshman setter earned his 500th career assist during the week and is currently second in conference assists.
