SIAC announces men's & women's tennis weekly honors 04.09

ATLANTA – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced weekly honors for men's and women's tennis on Tuesday, April 9. Spring Hill's Tom Gutermann was named Men's Tennis Player of the Week, and Albany State's Bianca Leao was named Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
 
MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Tom Gutermann, Spring Hill College
Sophomore | Biberach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
Gutermann won both his doubles (6-1) and singles (4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-2)) matches in a 4-3 win against Christian Brothers. He improved to 11-0 in singles and 12-6 in doubles.

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Bianca Leao, Albany State University
Senior | Manaus, Brazil
Leao dominated her competition last week, securing victories in both doubles and singles play against Georgia Southwestern. She won her doubles match 6-2 and swept her singles match with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 score.
