SIAC Cross Country Weekly Honors: Sept. 10

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Cross Country Runners of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 10, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances last week. Central State’s QiAden Marks and Tuskegee’s Anaya Martin were recognized.

MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – QIADEN MARKS, CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
Junior | Akron, Ohio
In his first meet of the season, Marks ran a solid race in Wright State University's Mike Baumer Classic. He finished the race in 17:07, averaging 5:31 a mile.

WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – ANAYA MARTIN, TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY
Junior | Clarksburg, Md.
Martin placed 22nd overall in the Women's 5K race with an impressive time of 20:22.6, leading the Tuskegee Golden Tigers to a 7th-place team finish. Her consistent pace and strong finish against a competitive field highlighted her dedication and talent in and outside the conference.
