ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Cross Country Runners of the Week on Tuesday, Sept. 17, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances last week.
Albany State’s Nathalia Rowe and
Lane’s Victor Kiprotich were recognized.
WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – NATHALIA ROWE, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Senior | Riverdale, Ga.
Rowe clocked a season-best 21:11.3 to secure 21st place at the UNG Cross Country Invitational, improving on her second-place team finish from the season opener.
MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – VICTOR KIPROTICH, LANE COLLEGE
Freshman | Eldoret, Kenya
Kiprotich set a new 5K school record with a time of 16:33.0 and led his team to first place at the Lane College Invitational in Memphis, Tenn. He also set a new men's 8K record with a time of 26:35.8, shattering the previous record by four minutes and 13 seconds.
