TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Tuskegee men's basketball will be a participant in the highly anticipated third annual ATL Has Something to Say HBCU All-Stars Challenge, hosted by HBCU All-Stars LLC.

The event will take place from November 11 to November 16, 2024, and will feature six premier HBCU basketball programs from across the country. The Golden Tiger men's basketball team will face Fayetteville State on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 3 p.m. ET at Clark Atlanta University's Epps Gymnasium.

This year's event will showcase top NCAA Division I and Division II talent from Howard, Tennessee State, Clark Atlanta, Tuskegee, Shaw, and Fayetteville State. With games played in two locations across Atlanta, the Challenge highlights HBCU excellence in basketball and serves as a key opportunity for participating teams to compete on a national stage.

Tuskegee's head coach Benjy Taylor expressed excitement for the team's return to the Challenge. "We are excited and proud to be participating in the third annual ATL Has Something to Say HBCU All-Stars Challenge in Atlanta," said Taylor. "Facing a strong opponent like Fayetteville State gives us an opportunity to show our alumni and fans what's in store for Tuskegee basketball this season. We're ready to compete and represent our university at the highest level."

Tuskegee's Director of Athletics, Reginald Ruffin, also emphasized the significance of the event for the program and university. "We are thrilled and honored to be invited to the ATL Has Something to Say HBCU All-Stars Challenge," Ruffin stated. "This prestigious event offers our student-athletes a platform to showcase their talents and compete at a high level. It's a testament to the hard work of our team, and we're excited to engage with the HBCU community and demonstrate the excellence that defines Tuskegee athletics."

The Challenge will be more than just a basketball tournament; it will also include cultural experiences such as community outreach initiatives, a College Admissions Fair, a Student-Athlete Empowerment Seminar, and a Game Day Experience Festival with live music, vendors, and performances. The event will bring together alumni, fans, and supporters from all participating universities for a celebration of HBCU culture and excellence.

Tuskegee is no stranger to competing at high levels in both athletics and academics, and its participation in the ATL Has Something to Say HBCU All-Stars Challenge further solidifies the university's commitment to fostering talent and leadership in the HBCU community.
