Spring Hill Sweeps Fort Valley State

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Spring Hill College volleyball team swept Fort Valley State to close out the first day of the SIAC Crossover.
 
The Badgers (13-5, 10-0 SIAC) swept the Wildcats (11-3,7-1 SIAC) 25-23, 25-12, 25-16, in straight sets. Spring Hill led in every major statistical category in the conference match.
 
Claire Hayes led the match with 14 kills while hitting .400. The offense went through Monica Vargo, who dished out a match-leading 33 assists.

MATCH NOTES
- The win marked the 12th in a row for the Badgers in the all-time series with the Wildcats.
Haile Hallmon led the SHC defense with 11 digs.
- Hayes also led the contest with three total blocks.
Jaylyne Bell and Hayley Hillman both contributed with 10 kills apiece.
 
UP NEXT
The Badgers finish the weekend at the SIAC Crossover against Albany State on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (CT).
