ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Women's Volleyball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 14, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in matches played last week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KAREA COPELAND, MILES COLLEGE
Outside Hitter | Freshman | Newnan, Ga.
Copeland again led the charge for the Lady Bears. In four matches, she finished with 75 kills, 56 digs and nine service aces while hitting .289. Her best matches came against Stillman, where she had a season-high 26 kills, 12 digs, four aces and three blocks (two solo) while hitting .317 in the five-set win. She also turned in a strong performance against Edward Waters with 19 kills, a career-high 22 digs, and four aces. Copeland posted double-doubles (kills and digs) in each of Miles' four matches.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SANIAA DICKEY, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY

Dickey finished with 15 digs against Central State at the SIAC West Crossover in Memphis last week. She followed with three digs against Lane and 16 digs against LeMoyne-Owen, helping the Tigers to a 3-0 finish in the tournament.
SETTER OF THE WEEK – AMIYAH WALKER, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY

Walker totaled 113 assists at the SIAC West Crossover in Memphis last week, including 39 assists and four blocks against Central State. She followed with 31 assists and nine digs against Lane and 43 assists, 13 digs, and an ace against LeMoyne-Owen, helping the Tigers finish 3-0 in the tournament.
NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – MAYA HENDRICKS, CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY
Outside Hitter | Junior | Columbus, Ohio
Hendricks delivered a standout performance for the Marauders, helping lead her team to a 2–1 record at the SIAC West Crossover in Memphis. Across three matches, Hendricks totaled 44 kills (4.0 per set) with a .208 hitting percentage. She added four service aces, three total blocks, and 30 digs, showcasing her ability to contribute in all phases of the game.
Hendricks opened the weekend with 18 kills against Savannah State, followed by 10 kills against Clark Atlanta, and 16 kills in the win over Allen. Her consistent offensive production and poise under pressure were critical to the Marauders' success.
