MACON, Ga. —
Morehouse College completes the four-peat today, defending its title at the 2025 SIAC Men's Cross Country Championship. The Maroon Tigers finished with 26 points and placed four runners in the top 10.
The
Tuskegee University Golden Tigers finished the meet as runners-up, with three student-athletes among the top 10..
Morehouse senior
Brian Kemei received the SIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year award for the third consecutive year. He finished first overall in the 8K with a time of 25:51.31.
Malcolm Kibiwot of
Tuskegee and
Victor Chebii of Morehouse rounded out the top three finishers in the men’s race.
Andrew Drumwright of
Central State received the SIAC Men’s Cross Country Elite 16 Award for his championship performance and academic success. The Elite 16 award, the SIAC’s highest academic achievement honor, is awarded to student-athletes who display exemplary performances in athletics and the classroom.
Legendary Morehouse head coach
Willie Hill was named SIAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive season. He was joined by assistant head coach
Christopher Doomes in accepting the award.
The men’s championship meet was held in Macon at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course. In total, 92
student-athletes from 13 institutions competed.
