ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Cross Country Runners of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 7, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in meets last week.
Brian Kemei (
Morehouse) and
Caren Kipkoech (
Benedict) were recognized.
MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – BRIAN KEMEI, MOREHOUSE COLLEGE
Senior | Eldoret, Kenya
Kemei ran a 25:57.0, with an average of 5:13.2 per mile to finish third at the Cross-Country Meeting at Berry College. Morehouse finished third in the 11-team field, crossing ahead of HBCUs Talladega and Clark-Atlanta.
WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – CAREN KIPKOECH, BENEDICT COLLEGE
Freshman | Eldoret, Kenya
Kipkoech won the 2025 Gladiators XC Classic at Owens Field with a time of 22:15.89 over the 5K course on a rainy Monday.
