SIAC Football Weekly Honors: Nov. 11

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Football Players of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 11, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Jamir Dismukes (Allen), Darrian Bell (Savannah State), Reid Grek (Miles), and Xzavier Jackson (Clark Atlanta) were recognized.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JAMIR DISMUKES, ALLEN UNIVERSITY
Quarterback | Junior | Cleveland, Ohio
Dismukes was unstoppable against Edward Waters in the AME Classic last week. The junior standout completed 23-of-32 passes for 284 yards and two touchdowns. He added 85 yards rushing and another score on 17 carries to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 53-30 Homecoming victory.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – DARRIAN BELL, SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY
Linebacker | Graduate | Danville, Ky.
Bell anchored the Savannah State defense once again, this time against Benedict. He finished with 13 tackles — nine solo and four assisted — and two tackles for loss. The Louisville transfer was active from the start, applying pressure that disrupted plays throughout the contest. Bell led the Tigers this season with 93 total stops.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – REID GREK, MILES COLLEGE
Kicker/Punter | Freshman | Tampa, Fla.
Grek turned in one of his best outings of the season against Tuskegee, going 3-for-3 on field goals and 2-for-2 on PATs. The freshman opened the Golden Bears' scoring with a 38-yarder, then added a 27-yard field goal as time expired in the first half. In the fourth quarter, his 26-yard kick capped a 55-yard drive to extend the lead. The three made field goals marked a season high, as Grek accounted for 11 of the team's 23 points.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – XZAVIER JACKSON, CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY
Quarterback | Freshman | Tampa, Fla.
Jackson capped his freshman campaign with a statement performance against Morehouse in the Battle of the AUC. The Tampa, Fla., native commanded the offense, throwing for 298 yards and three touchdowns on 25-of-35 passing with no interceptions. Jackson's precision and poise powered the Panthers' 48-45 victory, sealing an impressive finish to his debut season under center.
