SIAC Men's Basketball Weekly Honors: Dec. 23

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men's Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Dec. 23, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Kendale Johnson (Albany State) and Aidan Lambert (Fort Valley State) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KENDALE JOHNSON, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Senior | Denver, Colo.
Johnson delivered outstanding performances in back-to-back conference victories against Allen University and Benedict College, playing a crucial role in extending Albany State's winning streak. In the game against Allen, Johnson excelled during an intense overtime period, scoring 23 points and hitting a game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds. He showcased impressive shooting efficiency from the field and beyond the arc. Following that performance, He followed that effort with another solid showing against Benedict, contributing 15 points and making five three-pointers. His ability to stretch the defense also created scoring opportunities for his teammates. Johnson's shot-making skills, composure in high-pressure situations, and consistent offensive production were essential to Albany State's success throughout the week.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – AIDAN LAMBERT, FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Junior | Fort Wayne, Ind.
Lambert led the charge for the Wildcats as they went 2-0 last week. He had a 50 point effort, going 19-of-36 (52.77%) from field goal range, 7-of-13 (53.8%) from three point range, and a 5-of-6 week from the free throw line. Lambert averaged a double-double this past week adding 19 rebounds. To round out his week, Lambert added four steals, three assists, and a blocked shot.
