ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 11, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week.

Landon Kiefer (
Albany State) were recognized.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TORRY JONES, EDWARD WATERS UNIVERSITY
Outfielder | Senior | St. Petersburg, Fla.
Jones had a great week on the diamond for the Tigers, helping EWU to a 2-2 mark on the week. Jones hit two home runs and drove in five as Edward Waters defeated Florida Memorial 13-12 on Friday. The senior homered in the second and sixth innings. For the week, Jones amassed eight hits, two home runs, six RBI, three runs scored and was walked five times.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK – LANDON KIEFER, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Right-Handed Pitcher | Junior | Parrish, Fla.
Kiefer delivered a dominant performance on the mound in Albany State’s series win over USC Beaufort last week. In five innings of relief, Kiefer allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out an impressive 11 batters. His ability to shut down the Sandsharks' offense played a crucial role in the Golden Rams' comeback victory.
