SIAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Honors: Feb. 11

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Women’s Basketball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 11, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Taliah Wesley (Allen) and Breana Griffin (Albany State) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TALIAH WESLEY, ALLEN UNIVERSITY
Guard | Senior | Blakely, Ga.
Wesley notched her sixth double-double of the season with a 20-point, 11-rebound performance in Allen's 75–59 victory over Savannah State last week. The senior guard also had three assists and four steals against SSU. Against Edward Waters, Wesley led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 17 points.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – BREANA GRIFFIN, ALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY
Guard | Freshman | Rome, Ga.
Griffin delivered an outstanding performance in Albany State's 82-71 victory over Middle Georgia State. She led the Lady Golden Rams with 15 points, including an impressive 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Griffin's offensive prowess was instrumental in snapping Albany State's five-game losing streak.
