SIAC Baseball Weekly Honors: Feb. 18

ATLANTA — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its SIAC Baseball Players of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 18, honoring student-athletes for impressive performances in games played last week. Torry Jones (Edward Waters) and Korey Bunselmeyer (Spring Hill) were recognized.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TORRY JONES, EDWARD WATERS UNIVERSITY
Outfielder | Senior | St. Petersburg, Fla.
Jones continued to keep his strong bat swinging as he powered the Tigers to a three-game home series sweep over LeMoyne-Owen last week. Jones finished with seven hits, including four doubles, 15 RBIs, nine runs scored and two home runs, bringing his home run total to six on the season.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – KOREY BUNSELMEYER, SPRING HILL COLLEGE
Pitcher | R-Senior | Ava, Ill.
Bunselmeyer delivered a stellar performance in his SIAC debut against Clark Atlanta. The redshirt senior fired a complete game in the 16-1 run-rule victory for Spring Hill. He tossed 7.0 innings with 14 strikeouts and allowed only a single earned run. He kept a 0.00 ERA while not allowing any extra-base hits.
